Often brands with multiple offices or franchise locations require the services of a logistics operation like Printcraft to pick, pack and distribute a whole range of marketing collateral for them.

Brisbane activewear icon Lorna Jane is the perfect example. Producing regular campaigns with window banners, lookbooks and point of sale collateral, they faced the internal challenge of distributing to their 130 odd stores nationally, many requiring specific banner sizes, quantities and products.

If this problem sounds familiar, here’s how you can set up and engage a supplier like Printcraft to manage as little or as much of the process as required.

Who provides the collateral?

Often customers assume that we need to print it, to pack it. Although that’s our preference, we will also accept product from other suppliers. You simply need to coordinate its arrival for a day prior to the physical collation.

How to supply the correct information?

Generally a simple spreadsheet is effective. Ensure you list all of the address details and collateral required specific to that location. If products need to be delivered by a certain date, discuss different freight options with your Account Manager.

How will my product be distributed?

Use one or a number of different carriers to suit your delivery requirements. Options include Australia Post, national freight carriers or local couriers.

Who organises the freight?

Printcraft can organise the freight, or we’re happy to use your preferred carrier. If it’s the latter, you may need to provide barcoded address labels and organise a pick up of the goods from our premises.

How will the products be packed?

From our experience, freight isn’t always handled as delicately as it should be, so we are extremely cautious when it comes to packing to minimise any potential damage. We use sturdy boxes, tubes and bubble wrap to pack all collateral.

What experience does Printcraft have with pick and pack campaigns?

Printcraft manages large and complex pick, pack and distribution campaigns on a weekly basis. Some of our clients include Lorna Jane, Isuzu, Night Owl, and State Library of Queensland.
