Print Post is an Australia Post service for the delivery of approved periodical publications, newsletters, newspapers, and special interest publications to addresses within Australia. There are a few conditions, but the savings far outweigh the restrictions.
PRINT POST FACTS
the quantity must be 100 or more articles of the same title
you can include special offers and inserts with your publication
have undeliverable articles returned
TO USE PRINT POST YOUR PUBLICATION MUST HAVE
be approved by Australia Post and issued with a Print Post Publication Number
the main publication must be printed matter
be a continuing periodical with a fixed title (ie magazine or newsletter)
be mailed at least twice per year
Each copy of a particular issue must be identical, except for:
permitted personalisation on the flysheet
copies to be delivered to different states or regions may have different advertising content
THE DOWN SIDES
There are a few things to note with print post.
You are charged for all return mail – so make sure your database is as up to date as possible
It can take up to seven working days to be delivered. Australia Post have now introduced a Priority Print Post service which reduces the time, but costs more.
